Featured today is Grand Ole Opry legend Jeannie Seely. Jeannie Seely recently sang and recorded a song originally written by Dottie West that her family found recently in her possessions after her death. The song was incomplete but Dottie's family asked Luverne native Bobby Tomberlin to complete the arrangement and he did a great job with it. Jeannie, a long time friend of Dottie's was asked to sing the song and released it on her new album , an American Classic. Audio posted with permission of the owner.

This song is written and performed by local artist from Luverne, Bobby Tomberlin. Bobby is well known in the Nashville scene as a song writer and performer. Bobby told our own , John Mike McCall, about the time he spent in downtown Troy writing songs during the pandemic while sitting in a swing on the square. You can find this song on Bobby's CD "Out Of Road" and you can hear it frequently on "The Morning Show" Mondays through Fridays from 5:30am to 9:00am on FM 94.7
This song is written and performed by a local artist from Goshen, Michael Jay Hughes. Michael Jay recently signed a record deal out of Dallas, Texas and this is his first release, Dirt Road Whiskey. Michael Jay attended Goshen High School but lives in the Montgomery area now and routinely plays in the area at local clubs and night spots. Pastor Lee preaches locally at McClure Town Church of God in Christ and performs regularly on programs such as the Alabama Gospel Roots program.
